Other public notarisation services
Personal advice. Careful preparation.
Not every legal transaction follows the same procedure. We check the form, authority and necessary documents before preparing a public deed.
We advise on and notarise advance care directives, foundation deeds and surety declarations where public notarisation is provided for or required for the particular transaction. We check the form, participants and necessary consents before the appointment.
On request, we assess other declarations and enforceable public deeds in relation to their statutory requirements and our authority to notarise them. Not every declaration can be drawn up as an enforceable deed.
Advance care directives and foundations
An advance care directive can allocate responsibilities in the event of a future loss of capacity of judgement. In addition to handwritten execution, public notarisation is available. We clarify the areas of responsibility and the designated individuals. For a foundation, we discuss in particular its purpose, dedication of assets and organisation, and prepare the necessary deed within the scope of our authority.
Surety commitments and other declarations
The formal requirements for surety commitments depend, among other things, on the identity of the surety and the amount. We review the specific declaration and necessary consents and explain the financial implications. For other transactions, we first check whether notarisation is permissible and necessary. An enforceable public deed requires additional statutory conditions to be met.
Our procedure
- Identify the transaction: Discuss the purpose and intended declaration.
- Check authority: Clarify the form and statutory requirements.
- Prepare the deed: Coordinate documents and necessary consents.
- Notarise: Execute the declaration according to the prescribed procedure.
Arrive well prepared
Send us the intended declaration and describe its purpose and participants. Depending on the transaction, we need existing contractual documents, information about representation, the dedication of assets or liability amount, and personal identification. We will tell you precisely which evidence is required.

Find practical guidance for your situation, grouped by notarial service. The specific requirements depend on your transaction; we clarify documents, attendance and costs with you before the appointment.
For advance planning, foundations and sureties
Must an advance care directive be notarised, and does it take effect immediately?
An advance care directive may be handwritten or notarised. We discuss its scope, appointed persons and possible substitutes. Notarisation alone does not make it immediately effective: when incapacity occurs, the competent adult protection authority checks the statutory requirements.
What should I know before notarising a surety undertaking?
A surety undertaking can create a substantial financial obligation. We review the secured debt, liability limits, required form and any necessary consents. Requirements depend, among other things, on who provides the surety and the amount involved. Send us the draft in advance; signature certification does not replace required notarisation.
What information do you need for a foundation deed?
We need the intended foundation purpose, the assets dedicated to it and its proposed organisation. We review the legal requirements and our competence based on your plans. Any registration and supervisory steps are coordinated separately; notarisation does not replace them.
