The minimum capital for forming an AG in Switzerland is 100'000 CHF. At formation, however, only 20% — but a maximum of 50'000 CHF — must be paid up. This means that an AG in Switzerland may also be formed with 50'000 CHF. You must nevertheless bear in mind that you are personally liable for the remaining 50'000 CHF.
You can therefore form a Swiss AG with 50'000 CHF, but remain liable for the other 50'000 CHF because an AG's liability capital always amounts to at least 100'000 CHF.
